Many thanks to The Garage Bar and Grille staff and customers for their donation of £125 from their Christmas Bikers Bash.
Today our volunteer driver Ian collected milk from the Morpeth milk hub and delivered it to several neonatal wards across the region. Beginning with the Great North Children’s Hospital at the RVI, in Newcastle, then Sunderland Royal Hospital and finishing with James Cook, in Middlesbrough.
Milk relay completed today.
Starting out at Hearts Milk Bank, in Berkhamsted, the milk began the relay by train up to Central Station, in Newcastle Upon Tyne, where it was handed over to our volunteer driver Paul who delivered it to the Milk Hub, in Morpeth.
All completed completely free of charge for the NHS by Blood Bike volunteers.
Coming to an event near you this year are our new range of Northumbria Blood Bikes caps and beanie hats.
Priced at £15 each.
Today we received news that we’ve made the final shortlist for the Pride of Britain Fund £100,000 Giveaway.

Tonight at 7pm our charity will reach its 11th anniversary since our service first went ‘live’. During that time we have helped to improve people’s healthcare journeys by providing a service to the NHS and Great North Air Ambulance Service.
This is only achievable thanks to the support we receive from our amazing team of volunteers, our service users, our donors and YOU the public. Thank you to each of our supporters!
Thank you to all the staff and customers at Millie’s American Diner for their generous donation of £400 to our charity!
Please welcome our new Blood Car to Northumbria Blood Bikes!
Today our second hybrid vehicle, a Toyota Corolla, went into operational service. This vehicle replaces one of our other cars, that we recently retired from the fleet, and we chose to continue our journey into the realms of hybrid vehicles.
Thank you to Whickham Ladies Thursday Group who chose Northumbria Blood Bikes as their charity for 2024. This was following a talk delivered to their group. Yesterday they handed over a cheque for £1000. Thank you so much ladies, your support is very much appreciated.
