Blood Bikes Santa Run 2025 - Day 3

And that's a wrap...

Today our volunteers have finished spreading festive cheer to the last of the Children’s Wards we visited in our Blood Bikes Santa Run 2025. Since we began this annual event it has grown year on year thanks to the generosity of those who support it. Back in 2017 we began by supporting one hospital but this year we are dropping off 126 giant Santa bags to 18 different Children’s wards, both in-patient and out-patient, at 12 different hospitals across our region.

Milk run relay

Donor Milk Run Relay

On Friday we took part in a donor milk relay. It began with Serv Herts & Beds collecting the donor milk from The Hearts Milk Bank who relayed with Derbyshire Blood Bikes. They transported it up to Wetherby where they handed it over to our volunteer. It was then delivered to the Neo-Natal Unit at Sunderland Royal Hospital.

Give to donation

We’re delighted to have raised new funds with givtouk in November
Thanks to the 34 Giveto members our charity will receive £568.74 (including gift aid). These donations will enable us to complete around 190 jobs. That is 190 people’s healthcare journeys we can support and potentially lives saved.
