Following a talk given by one of our fantastic speakers back in 2019 the North Eastern Centre of The Institute Of Road Transport Engineers chose to support us with a charitable award at their Industry Lunch last week.
Our volunteer Tom was happy to be presented with a cheque for £1,000, on behalf of our charity, by Centre Chairman Derek Atkinson.

The Bebby bike popped up to see our friends at Bebside Inn for the cheque presentation following Easter at the Bebby earlier this year. A huge well done and thank you for raising £3550.01 for our charity.
On Wednesday 16th October 2024 three Blood Bike groups took part in a national relay of samples.
Today three Blood Bike groups have taken part in a national relay of samples.
Beginning with Tim from Blood Bikes Scotland at Borders General Hospital down to the Blackbird Inn, in Ponteland, where it was handed over to Northumbria Blood Bikes driver Clive. It was then
transported down to Scotch Corner and handed over to Tony from Whiteknights Yorkshire Blood Bikes for the final leg of the relay to St James Hospital in Leeds.
Today our volunteer rider Drew collected donated human milk from the Northumbria Milk Hub and delivered it to Sunderland Royal Hospital.
All completed completely free of charge for the NHS by a Blood Bike volunteer.

This competition is not only to design the cards we send out to our supporters but also raises vital funds for our charity when we sell packs of them. We look forward to seeing what you design for us in 2024.

Beginning with Blood Bikes Scotland at Victoria Hospital, in Kirkcaldy, down to Berwick-upon-Tweed where it was handed over to Northumbria Blood Bikes driver Clive. It was then transported down to Scotch Corner and handed over to Whiteknights Yorkshire Blood Bikes for its final leg of the relay to Biochemistry Dept at St James Hospital in Leeds.
Today our volunteer driver John has completed an urgent milk run from the Northumbria Hub in Morpeth down to The James Cook University Hospital in Middlesbrough.
We are very thankful and proud of each of our volunteers for the time they give to our charity. Every three months we have the honour to present our volunteers with recognition awards for achieving milestone shift totals.
